Gardenplan Design have been transforming gardens and outdoor spaces for homes across the West Midlands since 2002. Core services include the design and implementation of patios, terraces, entertaining areas, outdoor kitchens as well as borders and planting areas.
Objectives
Gardenplan often work in close conjunction with our long established client Lupin Gardening Ltd. After a recently revising their website we were approached to perform a visual and content overhaul of Gardenplan Designs website too.
The layout needed to compliment the Lupin website, bringing to the fore images of the completed gardens alongside highlighting the detailed hand drawn garden design plans.
Practical website management was also required to oversee the change of hosting provider, implementation of https, along with careful planning to retain and enhance SEO performance.
Our Response
The previous website was quite dated and had a restricted, non-responsive layout that failed to show the completed garden designs in their full glory. We created a new WordPress site with the focus on a more detailed projects area to highlight the new garden photography and detail the key design features of each space.
The About Us and Process page content was also expanded and logically sectioned to provide visitors with a concise overview of the company’s service offering. As with the Lupin Gardens site the client was wary of the time commitments to regularly maintain a news section. We therefore integrated the company’s Facebook feed to keep visitors informed of latest projects without the need for the client to regularly update the website.
The client wished to keep the original company logo, however alternate colour palette options were explored to provide a revised colour scheme that contained more natural / earthy tones. Visit our Website Design.
