Our Client

Redpoint Climbing Centre Birmingham is the West Midlands leading indoor climbing centre with over 300 routes for climbers of all abilities and skill levels.

Objectives

Redpoint have developed a bespoke climbing programme (Redpoint Climbing Scheme) consisting of 7 levels to take participants from developing basic skills through to advanced climbing techniques. Two highly visual log books were required to provide a both a physical checklist of skills acquired for instructors and a reference guide for members of commonly used terms, equipment and training tips.

Our Response

We created two log books featuring custom illustrations combined with the climbing centres own photography to provide highly personalised printed guide books. We started with several planning meetings with lead instructors to refine and page plan the log books content and structure.  Initial sample layouts of three different visual styles were provided for review and feedback before the creation of a wide range of illustrative assets to use throughout the two publications. A series of level completion certificates were also designed.
