Gloss-ary

Another recent project completed last year we forgot to tell you about is this packaging for Lily Lolo’s new lip gloss range. Gloss-ary is a 3 piece gift set available in 3 different shade collections ranging from vibrant pinks to clear gloss, all available from the newly re-designed Lily Lolo web store.

Adobe Muse

Couple of weeks behind on my design news due to a recent office move but just found out about this interesting development from Adobe, code named Muse. It’s been a long standing question as to whether a decent application could be developed that crosses the bridge for print designers to easily create web content, using similar tools and the same drag and drop format as Illustrator/ Photoshop etc. Muse looks like an interesting step in that direction, and while a decent web developer who knows their code is still a must when it comes to professional website building it’s an interesting development.

Even if it’s not suitable for producing the finished product it could have great potential for the initial design stages, where clients would like to see some basic functionality rather than flat PSD visuals.

The subscription only price planning is not ideal unless your likely to be a heavy user, however the beta version can be used for free before it’s official launch in 2012. Would be interesting to see if Muse in some form ends up as part of the CS6 package or stays as a separate entity.
