Recommended Reading – MM Paris

There have been a few interesting design books out recently, and I’ve just received the new 528 page monograph from my favourite design heroes M/M (Paris). I’ve been waiting a while for some sort of retrospective of their 20 years in the design industry and it doesn’t disappoint. I first came across their work after being intrigued by the art direction for Bjork’s 2001 album Verspertine; she’s worked extensively with them ever since. Some of my favourite pieces have been in collaboration with fashion photography/ digital imaging pioneers Inez Van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin who are also well worth checking out.

Their work stretches across the worlds of fashion, music, packaging, art, typography, interiors and pretty much anything else you can think of so there is plenty to inspire designers of all kinds. Published by Thames & Hudson and well worth a purchase.
